Poplar is selected
for mild, even texture,
and works and paints easily. Contains no resin to
discolor the finish. A highly stable, yet
economical, hardwood. Poplar is moderately soft, low
density, texture fairly fine and uniform, Poplar has
been used for almost every conceivable purpose, limited
only by lack of strength for some requirements.
Poplar can be
stained to simulate more costly woods in clear finishes.
Used for painted and stained furniture, patterns,
kitchenware, musical instruments and toys. |
